Vilassar de Mar, a fishing village 25km from Barcelona
Vilassar de Mar was a town with a maritime tradition where the sailboats that sailed to America were built. Overseas trade and the appearance of the American signified a change in the appearance of the fishing village since many modernist-style houses were built. Progressively the town will also become a summer resort for the bourgeois families of Barcelona throughout the 20th century.
